Social / Communications Committee

Purpose:  The purpose of the Social and Communications Committee is to assist the Board of Directors in Communicating with the community, helping home owners feel Welcome in our community, Planning and Organizing social events and publishing the monthly Newsletter.

Authority: The Social and Communications Committee will be authorized to post fliers around the community regarding upcoming events such as community meetings, community activities and special announcements. They will also be authorized to write up and submit the monthly newsletter for final approval by the board and subsequent publication with monthly dues statements.

Responsibility: The Social and Communications Committee will be responsible for planning neighborhood / community activities, posting notices of upcoming meeting, welcoming people moving into the community and organizing help, as needed, for those moving in and/or out of our community. Each member of the committee is responsible for the personal conduct, as more fully outlined below.

Organization: The Social and Communications Committee will not be limited in number, but will be overseen by the Board of Directors. One member of the committee may be chosen as a record keeper and another as a Team Leader, the Team Leader will not be a member of the Board of Directors and will be the person responsible for the majority of communication with the Board of Directors.

Appointment / Removal from the Committee: To be appointed to this committee one must be a resident of the community and current on all HOA dues. Appointment to or removal from the committee may be made by a mojority vote of the Board of Directors or by 51% of the voting power of the association.

Conduct: Each member of this committee is responsible for his/her personal conduct towards fellow home owners and residents. They are expected and required to be professional and respectful in their conduct. Antagonizing or threatening behavior will not be tolerated and will be grounds for fines, civil/criminal legal action and summary dismissal from the committee. Conversely, antagonizing or harassing behavior towards committee members by the community will also not be tolerated and will be subject to fines and civil/criminal legal action.
