When all the work is said and done what else can one do but have some fun.

Restaurant of the Month:

Sushi Monster-

Located in the parking lot just outside Valley Fair Mall this new restaurant is sure to be a hit with the whole crew. My wife and I just went there for the first time last night and even though they are small it had to have been the best service I have ever had at a restaurant. Then not only was the food delicious and the service great but when it came out it looked like something you'd see from a high end restaurant on Food Network.

They start you off with a warm bowl of Miso Soup and drinks of your choice. Then whenever you are ready they'll get you any appetizer you want off their menu. We ordered the Vegetable Tempura, which is not common for me as I am not usually a fan of tempura, and it was delicious. Following which they brought out our Sushi Rolls, we got the Rainbow Roll, the House Special Roll, the Winter Roll and the Charlie&Brad Roll, on a large round plate.

Now if you can picture this it might be worth a try: On one side of this very large round plate you have the food lined up perfectly and looking great, in the middle was the Wasabi and Ginger as well as a basket filled with pieces of orange, the basket was made from the orange itself and looked phenomenal, and on the side opposite the food were three sauces to dip your food in. The unique thing about the sauces though is that they were arranged in such a way as to look like a Sea Horse. It was pretty cool.

Now for those of you that don't think Sushi is your thing that is fine. They have a well rounded menu that contains Sushi, both cooked and raw, as well as Traditional Asian dishes that looked as if they would please any palette.

How to Get There -

Head down to Valley Fair Mall on 3500 south then make a right hand turn, left if coming from I-215, heading south on 2700 west. At the first light take a left into the Valley Fair Mall parking lot and then take your first left, again. Then if you look to your left, only about 20 yards from the intersection, you will see the magnificence that is Sushi Monster. It is a smaller restaurant but once you get inside and start tasting heaven on a plate you'll be glad you tried out this new fun little restaurant.

Treat of the Month:

Churros Ole'

Located in the main entrance hall way at Valley Fair Mall in a remote location tucked away from the busy raffic of the central strip sits a unique and tasty treat place that specialises in... yep you guessed it, Churros. Sporting a plethora of varieties and options this small place, though not widely known, houses some of the tastiest treets one can get this side of the Rockies.

How to Get There -

Make your way down to Valley Fair Mall and stroll on in through the Main Entrance. Then Just keep on walking straight, past the intersection, until you see the Yellow and Red Churros Ole' sign on the Left Hand, North, side of the hall way. Order whatever tickles your fancy and enjoy the warm crispy and chewy goodness of a hand made fresh Churro that will be sure to please your taste buds and put a smile on everyone's face. Enjoy.
